Did I do anything wrong today, or has the world always been like this and I'v been too wrapped up in myself to notice?

I love deadlines. I love the whooshing sound they make as they go by.

Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?

If human beings don't keep exercising their lips, their brains start working.

It is a well-known fact, that those people who most want to rule people are those last suited to do it.

Großbuchstaben waren immer die beste Art, mit Dingen fertig zu werden, auf die man keine gute Antwort wusste.

Sie hatte mal gehört, dass der Mensch vermutlich nur etwa ein Zehntel seines Hirns benutze und dass niemand ganz genau wisse, wozu die anderen neun Zehntel da seien. Aber sie hatte natürlich nie eine Andeutung darüber gehört, dass sie zur Aufbewahrung von Pinguinen benutzt wurden.

Es stimmt, dass manchmal ungewöhnlich intelligente und sensible Kinder dumm wirken können. Aber auch dumme Kinder können manchmal dumm erscheinen.
